Willi Brown singing and playing a guitar

Willi was inspired as a teen to pick up the guitar to learn the songs of Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson. While living in Austin, Texas, in the early 80's, Willi began writing songs after reading a quote from Elvis Costello "...its just three chords...". Willi Brown led a few alternative rock bands in Omaha in the early '90's. He passed through Nashville, had a beer and moved to Seattle the year Kurt Cobain killed grunge.

Since the mid-90's, though playing the occasional cafe' or street corner, Willi has focused on recording and pursuing his technology interests. He recorded a full-length CD in 2001 named Scenic Route in honor of the long and circuitous path taken to get to the realization of that effort.
